OUR HISTORY

built in the desert - Watered by the river!

Rooted in the Knippelberg family and welcoming everyone who lives the ultimate lifestyle.

From carving dunes in Glamis to the trails of Ocotillo Wells, we were raised on the smell of two-stroke premix and high-octane fuel. Weekends meant racing Olds during the day, chasing desert sunsets, and partying at Comp at night or cooling off on the Colorado River, hitting spots like Roadrunner and drag racing the Parker Strip.

It all traces back to the 80s and 90s in my father’s nitrous-hitting Hondo T-Deck runner-bottom drag boat. We grew up skiing behind it, learning early what it means to live life full throttle. Those experiences planted the roots. The desert sun, river nights, sandbar parties, and that unmistakable smell of adventure watered them - giving life to another generation carrying on the Knippelberg legacy.

1980's in OCOTILLO WELLS

Check out this little legend on his custom neon orange Suzuki LT50.  This was pure ‘80s desert kid heaven!

From this tiny rider on the LT50 all the way to building Knippy Crew — the roots were already growing deep in the desert of Ocotillo Wells.

1990's in glamis

That’s me and my dad "Dr Q" on his Suzuki Quadzilla - the undisputed king of sand missiles at the time.

This was peak Knippelberg childhood: two-stroke smoke in the air, sand in places sand should never be, and zero fear. Just pure, full-throttle desert freedom.

got nos?

My dad "Dr Q" ripping on one of his nitrous-equipped Suzuki LT500 Quadzilla race quads.

While most people were just playing in the sand, he was building some of the fastest quadracers around, complete with full NOS systems.

From watching this madness as a kid to building Knippy Crew, the full-throttle DNA runs deep.

glamis fire burnouts

Early ‘90s, Glamis. While other kids watched fireworks, I watched my old man turn the desert into an inferno. Flames, red flags, and zero fear - just how we like it!

Some family traditions are louder (and hotter) than others.

This is Knippy Crew DNA.
